Rep. Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) sent this letter to Governor JB Pritzker yesterday to allow for local school boards who answer directly to parents and their local communities to make the decision on mask requirements for their children. Also, he has scheduled a meeting on Thursday with the Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to discuss this issue further. Many parents and educators from around the 109th District have contacted Rep. Niemerg asking for his continued support and fighting for their rights to decide what is best for their children and not have a mandate imposed by the Governor.
