State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) on Monday presented longtime Teutopolis baseball Coach Kent Niebrugge with a special certificate from the Illinois House of Representatives honoring his two decades of commitment and dedication. Kent Niebrugge coached the boys Junior High Wooden Shoes for 20 years from 2001 to 2021.
Coach Niebrugge’s overall record was 351 wins and 82 losses.
“We are very proud of our hometown guy, Coach Kent Niebrugge, who has coached our boys baseball team to 12 State Tournament Appearances with 5 State Titles and 4 State Runner Ups,” commented Rep. Adam Niemerg. “Kent Niebrugge is a great role model and leader for our boys both on the field and off.”
