Rep. Niemerg: Crawford, Clark, Jasper, Richland & Lawrence Counties approved for SBA Disaster Loans due to severe weather on March 31st

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved the disaster declaration for the severe weather that occurred on March 31st. This will allow residents, condo homeowners, and businesses to apply for low-interest loans for damages not covered by insurance. The declaration covers Crawford County and the adjacent counties of Clark, Jasper, Richland, and Lawrence Counties.

SBA staff will be at the Lincoln Trail College – Student Union Room 211 starting at 11:00 a.m. on May 10th at 11220 St Highway 1, Room 211 in Robinson, Illinois, 62454 to help residents with their applications. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) will be open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Center will close permanently on Wednesday, May 24th.

Homeowners can apply for up to $200,000 in low-interest loans to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners or renters can apply for up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Businesses and not-for-profits can borrow up to $2 million for physical damages.
