Rep. Adam Niemerg (102nd District) along with Rep. Brad Halbrook (107th District) met this week with local elected officials from Cumberland County to provide a legislative update and discuss issues of local concern. Cumberland County is represented by both Niemerg and Halbrook after the most recent remap of the legislative districts.
Hosted by the Village of Toledo, local mayors, County Board Members and village trustees attended the legislative roundtable presentation. The officials received an update on the new state budget, gun ban challenge, wind and solar energy legislation, and other state issues; as well as to hear their concerns including recent IDOT projects and the re-routing of traffic. Rep. Niemerg has been traveling the district this summer meeting with local officials to provide updates and hear input and ideas on issues that impact our communities.
