Rep. Niemerg Law to Transfer National Guard Armory to Lawrenceville

State Representative Adam Niemerg’s (R-Dieterich) passage of HB 1920 in the House authorized the Illinois Department of Military Affairs to transfer ownership of the National Guard Armory and property in Lawrence County to the City of Lawrenceville. Sponsored by Senator Chapin Rose in the Senate, the City of Lawrenceville will receive the property as is and will be responsible for the costs of the transfer. The property must be used for public purposes or ownership will revert back to the State of Illinois.
