FARM CREDIT Illinois Opens New Regional Office in Lawrenceville

State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) welcomes the opening of the new regional Farm Credit Illinois (FCI) office in his district. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the newly constructed, 10,964 square foot, Lawrenceville office on Monday, June 30 located at 2401 West Haven Road.

“This office will be able to serve more families, landowners and agricultural businesses in Crawford and Lawrence Counties in my district,” said Niemerg. “It is impressive that they already have insurance coverage of 87,000 acres, a loan investment of about $276 million in our region, and last year returned $35 million in earnings to their member-borrowers.”

Niemerg points out that Farm Credit Illinois (FCI) is an agricultural financial cooperative owned by more than 17,100 farmers, rural landowners, and agribusiness voting stockholders in the southern 60 counties of Illinois.

FCI provides financing, crop insurance, and lending services, managing an $8 billion loan portfolio and employs approximately 300 staff in the Mahomet headquarters and 14 regional offices. The new location accommodates up to 21 employees and provides a conference room and catering kitchen for up to 80 individuals, which will be available to the local agricultural community.
