State Rep. Adam Niemerg presented special certificates to the newest inductees on Friday, November 21st at the 2025 Induction Ceremony held at the Teutopolis Banquet Hall in Effingham County.

The National Athletic Hall of Fame was established to preserve and honor the rich Illinois history of sports and achievements from Illinois communities. Through the recognition of persons and teams who have made outstanding contributions as athletes, coaches, athletic directors, officials and media and exemplified the finest ideals of athletics.

“I am happy to support the Athletic Hall of Fame established by Executive Director Josh Mathis and help recognize each of these individuals who bring pride to our communities by their efforts, achievements, and integrity to their sports,” commented Niemerg. “I encourage people to nominate someone who has had a positive impact on our kids and the world of sports in their community.”
