“We have all heard the horror stories over the years about babies being found in dumpsters and if mothers in crisis had only had a safe place to leave their babies, imagine how many lives could have been saved,” said Rep. Niemerg. “Thank you to the Paris Fire Department, the Paris Police Department, and Horizon Health Edgar County Hospital for accepting this designation of ‘Baby Safe Haven’ for moms who may not have anyone in their family they can turn to for help but need a safe place to take their babies.”
