State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) met with president, Jacob Campbell, and some of the personnel of Campbell Energy, LLC in Carmi in January. As a new member of the Illinois General Assembly, Rep. Niemerg is meeting with industry and community leaders around the 109th District to get updates on the health of the economy and needs of constituents and businesses.
Rep. Niemerg and Campbell Energy representatives discussed the energy market and what regulations have done to stifle productivity in the oil and gas sector. Campbell Energy employs over 125 people with expertise in geology, engineering, finance, legal, land and leasing, field operations, HSE (health safety and environmental), and well services.
“Campbell Energy is a shining example of how America achieved energy independence in the last several years, commented Rep. Adam Niemerg. “It provides good paying jobs for our area and we need to do all we can to keep them here in Illinois.”
The Illinois Basin includes portions of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, an area that has produced over a billion barrels of oil since 1905. The basin is composed of predominantly conventional reservoirs of oil and some gas.
The mission at Campbell Energy is to deliver outstanding operating and financial results by building a portfolio of oil properties utilizing a “pure play” growth-oriented strategy. We accomplish this by building an environment of efficiency, stewardship, ethics, and performance.
“I am impressed with Campbell Energy’s ethics priority to run their business based on the ‘golden rule’ and treat their personnel, partners, investors and even their competitors the way they want to be treated,” added Rep. Niemerg.
