State Rep. Adam Niemerg is encouraging residents who are looking for a career in the law enforcement field to consider applying for correctional officer positions at the Danville Facility for the Department of Corrections. Apply first online at www.illinois.gov/idoc, and then the in-person screening is Monday, May 1, 2023 at Danville Area Community College.
“These are good paying positions with good benefits. People living in the Vermilion County area and even the Champaign County and Edgar County should consider this opportunity,” said Rep. Niemerg. “Even people living further away in other counties of the 102nd District could consider this opportunity if they are open to relocating closer for a shorter commute time.”
