The bi-partisan policy initiative created by Illinois House Republicans in 2019 is finally being implemented after being delayed by the Governor. This program offers tax breaks to eligible companies to offset wages paid to construction workers: up to 75 percent in certain underserved areas as determined by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and 50 percent tax break in other areas of Illinois.
