State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) welcomed 8th grade student, Ashton Parrish, and his mom Kendra Parrish to the Illinois House of Representatives on during Veto Session from Oblong in the 102nd District. Ashton is an 8th grade student at New Hebron Christian School in Robinson, Illinois.
“I am very impressed with Ashton who wants to be a state representative himself someday,” commented Rep. Adam Niemerg. “Here is a young man who already has taken the initiative and owns his own summer lawn care business, is involved with sports, the Scholastic Quiz Bowl team, and plays drums for the worship band at the New Hebron Christian School. Not only is Ashton a leader for their weekly chapel and assists with the technology needs for the services, he is also a Peer Mentor for junior high students,” added Rep. Niemerg. “I encourage young people who want to learn more about their state legislative government to consider serving as a Page-for-a-Day.”
